The Tribe2008 Camp Layout

2008 Layout
BM08 Zoom

The roads at BM are set up in concentric circles starting with the Esplande (that borders the open playa) and then roads named alphabetically based on the BM theme for the year. (see image on right). I can never remember street names so many of us remeber them by their starting letter (A, B, C, D, etc)

The slices of the semi circle are named after the hours on a clock face, in 1/2 hour increments. Center camp is always 6:00 - and we are near the next road over, very close to Center camp.

We have an decent sized block of land this year - bordering the "A" road, and just a little away from the intersection of 6:30 and "A" - looks like we'll be at about 6:35 and "A"

The upper part of the drawing on the left will be where we set up our tents, RVs, etc. Looks like we have decent space, which will make a welcome change from the past couple of years! Andrew the Zoning Bitch will be mapping out our camp placements shortly.

The bottom part (scroll down) that borders the "A" road is where the public will enter. There is an alley that is formed by the four rooms (Photo studio, Boudoir, BDSM, and Poker room - each room being approx 8'x8'), and on the right side is a mural (approx 30'x8'), which will need to be painted by any of the wonderful artists in the tribe.

Next comes the stage (8'x8') and the 20'x30' bar and lounge area

The right of the mural will be our bike parking area - visible from the lounge, but not cluttering up the front of our camp. We will also have a windmill (lit up in a similar fashion to the one at the Moulin Rouge) with solar powered lights, that will be a wonderful beacon for us to find our way home in the night.

The kitchen, Teepee, and bar storage mark out what we consider the private area of our camp - Tribesters and guest only. It would be nice to figure out a half-wall like thing here to mark this point.

Behind that will be the shower and evap pond (although we can move that more to the center of the camping area - closer to our tents and RVs, and futher away from the public.

It is quite likely that we will end up driving into the camp area from the "B" road (which would be at the top of the drawing) assuming that we extend all the way to "B"

Thanks to Andrew the Zoning Bitch for the layout.

If you reach BM before Andrew, talk to Shady about placement.
