one of my greatest desires for self expression is to create great and inspiring art of the human form. I will often combine two mediums by body painting or costuming the subject/s to create the perfect storyline within the overall image. My nude photography is never aimed directly at the model but rather the deeper message and emotion within the entire frame. Collaboration and a direct and intimate connection with the model is a necessity in order to capture that perfect image out of dozens of frames during a session. When that connection is achieved and that perfect split second in time presents itself, I try to capture and freeze it in time for all to see, interpret and hopefully connect with the deeper meaning, emotion and my own inner passion to express that part of me in my art. The human form is truly a magnificent work of art if one can set it free to express it's inner spirit. Burning Man is the perfect venue for me to connect with that. Without it, I would lose the desire to make my annual pilgrimage to the desert and that blank canvas that beckons me to set free my own inner spirit. While you're flipping through my body of work, slow down to interpret the real emotion and the story that each image conveys. Rather than getting through all of the photos, instead take time to look for the deeper message within those that you have time for. My only desire is to affect you. And whether you like or dislike that image, I am truly satisfied that I have caused some level of affect that might stay with you for a long time.
